Penile Tissue Damage Associated With ED:
A person with ED symptoms almost always has some Penile Tissue Damage that needs to be corrected. Person’s with Vitamin D levels below 70 (not getting enough deep REM sleep), sleep apnea, getting less than 7 hours of sleep regularly, diabetes, poor diet, sedentary lifestyle, over weight/obesity, taking cholesterol medications, high blood pressure medications, low testosterone, are just some of the very long list of factors contributing to these person’s developing some penile tissue damage. Symptoms of ED are usually perpetuated due to some underlying tissue damage and/or some metabolic pathways which have degenerated over time. Men who do not experience morning erections tend to have some form of penile tissue damage.
ED itself causes further tissue damage in most cases, this is because generally an area of the penis is not receiving proper blood flow and develops hypoxia (deprivation of oxygen). When this happens cells are starved of necessary nutrients and blood flow, creating toxicity in the cells. This damage is not only perpetuated in the penile tissue but also in the penile nerves cells and related penile capillary networks and/or entire penile area.
Calcification of the Body Contributing to ED:
Another major factor that causes ED is calcification of the body. Calcification begins to line the walls of the vast comprehensive capillary networks of the entire penile organ. Some capillary networks are so small that only one red blood cell can travel through at a time. So when any calcification begins to occur in these small vessels, it can cause entire sections of the capillary networks to close off, degenerate and or not function properly. Person’ with arthritis, back pain, neck/shoulder pain, knee and joint pains generally have calcification. Patients with cardiovascular conditions taking blood pressure medications also generally have calcification in the body. Person’s with sedentary lifestyles, insulin resistance, poor diets and or diabetes usually also develop some level of calcification within the body.
Approximately 95% of ED patients have Vitamin D levels below 70. Elite Medical provides a Doppler test to measure blood flow throughout the entire penile area to determine possible calcification issues. We then run comprehensive lab test results that measure Vitamin D levels and your plaque levels which further helps to identify calcification.
